I have watched the news for the past couple of years and I have to say I just never see my point of view. It's not that it's that extreem, or even that off the wall. It's just never said out loud. So that's the purpose of this blog, to at least have my point of view out so that people can hear one more side of an opinion.

First case in point, I have heard a lot of people exclaim about the fact that we have just elected the first Negro, American President. I guess my head has been in a hole because I thought we had elected an American. And isn't America made up of hundreds of nationalities? I sure think that if we didn't make as much noise about President Elect Obama's race or ethnic origins we could celebrate that a young family man is here to lead us with new ideas and a fresh outlook.
Granted, I don't live in an area where prejudice has become a habit. But I have worked with many who's skin or accent doesn't match mine, and have never thought I was better then they were.
So please celebrate the many changes Mr Obama will bring to our country not the mere fact that he's Afro-American. Because if you focus on race it's all over and the chance to see him for the person he is will never be seen.
